Volunteer at the 2026 OAPN Conference — Right Here in Hamilton!

We’re looking for college students who are interested in a future in the live entertainment or arts industry. Volunteering at the Ohio Arts Professionals Network Conference is an incredible way to get hands-on experience.

As a volunteer, you’ll gain access to honing customer service skills, meeting industry professionals, watching and assisting with artist showcases, and valuable time working alongside industry professionals. You’ll also receive real-world training in event production while working alongside arts leaders from across the region.

The 2026 Conference will take place at the Fitton Center for the Arts, October 18–20, 2026.

Volunteer Opportunities

Registration Desk Volunteers
Welcome attendees and manage check-in by distributing name badges and conference materials while providing basic event information.

Exhibit Hall Assistants
Support exhibitors during setup by helping them locate booths, unload materials, and troubleshoot basic needs.

Wayfinding / Guest Experience Volunteers (“Wanderers”)
Serve as friendly, visible guides throughout the venue to direct attendees and answer questions.

Session Room Hosts
Assist speakers by managing timing, supporting basic AV needs, and ensuring sessions run smoothly.

Showcase Stage Crew / Runners
Support live showcases with quick transitions, light stage assistance, and communication between performers and production staff.

Hospitality / Artist Liaison Volunteers
Provide support to artists and VIPs by assisting with green room needs and general hospitality.

Student Photographers
Capture high-quality photos of showcases, sessions, and networking moments for marketing and archival use.

Student Videographers (Class Project)
Film select showcases or sessions as part of a structured class project, including rehearsal coverage.

Floaters / On-Call Volunteers
Provide flexible support across the conference by filling gaps, covering breaks, and assisting where needed most.

Join the Ohio Arts Professionals Network (OAPN) Conference team as a volunteer and gain hands-on experience working alongside performing arts professionals, artists, agents, and presenters from across the region. This is a unique opportunity to see how a touring arts conference operates from the inside while helping create a welcoming and smooth experience for attendees.

Time Commitment

• Flexible Shift Times
• Volunteers may sign up for multiple shifts per day
• Donuts, Pizza, Snacks, Pop/Water/Coffee, available for volunteers
• Limited roles may require longer coverage (with breaks)
• Schedules will be finalized in advance with clear expectations & a Zoom Orientation
